About Meghalaya Common Admission Portal

The Meghalaya Common Admission Portal is a unified platform developed to streamline the admission process for higher education institutions across the state. It is an initiative of the State Higher Education Council, Government of Meghalaya, aimed at creating a transparent, efficient, and student-friendly system for undergraduate admissions in Government Colleges.

Through this portal, students can submit a single application and apply to multiple participating institutions, reducing the need for separate forms and simplifying the overall admission process.

For the academic session 2025–26, the Government of Meghalaya is introducing admissions under the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP), in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP), promoting flexible and multidisciplinary learning.

In its initial phase, the Common Admission Portal will be implemented across 8 Government Colleges in Meghalaya, marking a significant step toward the digital transformation of the state’s higher education system.

The portal ensures merit-based admissions, timely communication, and ease of access for students across different regions of the state. It also enables institutions to manage applications more effectively and maintain uniform admission standards.

The Government of Meghalaya remains committed to expanding this platform in the coming years to include more institutions and programmes, making higher education more accessible, inclusive, and efficient.
